Acrylic Mounts are the most vibrant way to display your photographs. No other photographic process has the depth, vibrancy, gloss, and accuracy that an Acrylic Mount gives you. It has quickly become a favorite of high end galleries and collectors. Acrylics let you make a piece that your customers will talk about for years
It starts with a photographic print that is face mounted to a sheet of clear acrylic. This layer of acrylic is what creates the unique qualities of an Acrylic Mount. Then a Dibond* back is added to protect the print and give the piece rigidity. An inset aluminum subframe is attached to the backer to create a float mount where the piece appears to float on the wall.
Acrylic Mounts can be made with Supergloss, Fuji Pearl, Kodak Metallic, and Fuji Gloss papers. Each paper brings a unique look to your Acrylic Mount.

We offer a variety of papers with our Acrylics. Fuji SuperGloss prints are the preferred choice for Acrylics sold in high end galleries like you see in Las Vegas, and gives you the same exact look. SuperGloss is Fuji’s most expensive paper, but we offer it as a free upgrade because it sets our Acrylics, and your photographs, apart.
Fuji Gloss - Printed with our Chromira, Fuji Gloss has excellent color and richness. Our base paper option, the price is included in the cost of our Acrylics.
Fuji SuperGloss - The glossiest photo paper available, Fuji SuperGloss, also known as FujiFlex is printed on a polyester base that gives it a depth and dimension beyond any paper. Only SuperGloss can produce this look, no inkjet print can compare. SuperGloss is the most expensive paper we buy, but we give it to you as a free upgrade.
Fuji Pearl - Instead of a traditional white paper base, Fuji added metal oxides to Pearl's base that give it a pearly, almost metallic reflectance that creates a shimmering iridescence. Available for an additional charge.
Kodak Metallic - The original metallic photo paper produces the strongest metallic effect with incredible depth and vibrance. Stunning with color photographs, it also produces a very unique effect with B&W photographs. Available for an additional charge.
Shipping is billed at $2 per $25 of order value ($10 minimum). Please choose the Acrylic Ship option at checkout.
How do Acrylics compare with Metal Prints?
What makes Metal Prints look so good is the gloss of the polyester coating that holds the image. Acrylics have a deeper gloss effect because of the 1/8” layer of acrylic mounted to the print, which offers even more depth and vibrancy. The actual photographic prints used in making an Acrylic are sharper, hold more detail, and have more accurate color than Metal Prints can achieve.
Metal Prints are more scratch resistant, and they are not affected at all by wet environments like bathrooms. This allows Metals to be displayed in areas that are not suited to acrylics.
Like all photographic prints, Metal and Acrylic will fade if placed in direct sunlight, or bounced sunlight in south facing rooms. Incandescent or LED light will give your artwork the longest display life.
What is the difference between Acrylic Mounts and direct print acrylics?
Many labs are offering direct print acrylics where the image is printed directly on to the acrylic with a flatbed printer. While less expensive to produce, the flatbed printers used in direct print acrylics do not have the depth and vibrancy of color that comes from the photographic papers we use in our Acrylic Mounts. Our process produces the richest, most vibrant look.
Will my Acrylic match my monitor?
To answer this you need to know your expectations. We print exactly what you give us, so if you don’t like it, it’s because your file was not set up to give you what you want. Amateurs making home decor typically love the results every time. If you need more exacting results, you need to make proof prints on the same paper that you’ll use for your final Acrylic, and keep adjusting till you get a print that looks exactly like you want. If you are printing with SuperGloss, an 8x12 Fuji Supergloss print is only $12.22 and makes an inexpensive proof. Expert Printmakers have to proof multiple times till they get exactly look they want. It’s all about knowing your expectations.
