You
should capture and edit your files in a wide-gamut working
space to obtain the widest possible range of colors.
If
your digital camera lets you, choose AdobeRGB over sRGB.
If
you use RAW, use ProPhoto RGB--it's even better than AdobeRGB.
If
you are scanning, use Joseph Holmes' Ekta
